Summer 2011 London, weddings and lots lots more

Where to start? Well not at the beginning I'm afraid as the photos have got a bit jumbled but here is what we've been up to in no particular order!!!

Dave and I have been living in London over the summer and with little work to distract us we have made full use of what the Big Smoke has to offer - and elsewhere.

This is us on a walking tour of the Holborn area - this is an old pub that was frequented by many royals over the centuries

We stopped by the Old Curiosity Shop but Charles was out - boo

We took advantage of the Boris bikes and cycled through Regents Park

This is us in Oxford with Dave's mate Angus - punting up the river

We visited Croperdy folk festival to see Dave's old Samba band play

and popped up to Rugby to Dave's friend Sarah's wedding

Dave and his dad Terry took in some jazz when they were over from NZ

We went to see Priscilla with Toni and Terry - fabulous darling

...and high tea my dear

And Dave went to Nottinghill Carnival

Then there was La Wedding! My bestest mate Katie marrying her beau in Majorca

Pre-wedding jitters were calmed by a bit of champers!

...'don't leave me out!'

The boys managed their nerves with another tipple

For some reason the friends took refuge in vegetables ;)

'Oh darling what strange friends we have'

Kate with her baby - Maddie. Maddie's first high chair experience

Susie with one of her girls

This was how we were transported to the beach where the wedding was - not too shabby hey!?

One of the other boats

The wedding  - there was laughter.....

..and tears

lots of tears! I didn't catch Kate crying on camera but she was the worst of the lot of us!

Glamour!

And singing - it was amazing

Then we flew down to the Costa del Sol to stay with Dave's aunt and uncle - this is us at the mud baths

Then soaking in the sulphur mineral stream

On Bolonia beach

Then a day in Seville before the flight home

Lots of tapas

Then this last weekend we have been up to Newcastle to another wedding, my friend Helen. At the most amazing castle and the best weather of the year.

Lovely autumnal leaves and dappled sunshine and my friend Kate and her daughter

The bride and groom

Father of the bride

...and rounded off by the most delicious meal with merriment, dancing and laughter abundant - fab

 -

... and we even managed to take in Durham cathederal

and the Scarborough coast on the way home :)

Phew - well there has been so much more so sorry if there is something I missed but it has been one amazing, fun packed few months. Thanks for making it great for us xxxxx
